If the said property is transferred by a gift deed to your Grandmother then it makes her the sole owner of the property and she can transfer it to anyone she wants. Thus, if it is the case then, Your Father can not claim his share over the property.

According to the provisions of section 14 of Hindu Succession Act any property which belongs to Hindu Female is held by her as a full owner. She has absolute right to deal with her property. She can sell or gift or bequeath the same to any other person through WILL(Will will come into operation only after death). She may or she may not give a share to your father. If she dies without writing a WILL only in such case your father will get his share of the property equally along with the other heirs i.e your grandfather, your father, your paternal uncles and your paternal aunts. While your grandmother is alive no one whether her husband , your father or his brothers and sisters cannot demand their share.
