Can son claim share in fathers property?

21-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
my son(hindu family) has forcibly locked three rooms in my house (on my wife'name)and shifted to his own new built house. Not ready to give me any money or maintenance charges. my other two sons are living in that house whereas I had left that house to live outside to accomodate them more nicely. For three years rooms are locked and in a very depleted condition. He preesurise me to sell that house and give him his share immediately .What should I do?

If the said house/property is self acquired by you from your money then you can break open the locks sand thus get the possession of the same immediately. If the said house is ancestral, i.e, inherited by you by succession then your son can file a partition suit to claim his share in the said property. hus, you being the karta of the family can initiate the partition to avoid any future problems.

YOUR SON HAS NO RIGHT TO MAKE YOU SELL OFF THE HOUSE. YOUR SON IS NOT THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY SO HE IS NOT HAVING ANY RIGHT IN THAT WAY. YOU CAN FILE CASE AGAINST YOUR SON FOR MAINTENANCE AND THE COURT MAY BE INCLINED TO ALLOW MAINTENANCE TO YOU CONSIDERING YOUR CONDITIONS ETC. YOUR SON HAS NO RIGHT TO LOCK THE ROOMS OF YOUR HOUSE WHEREAS, HE IS LIVING IN SEPARATE HOUSE.
