Can nominee of property claim income after the death the owner

This query is regards to the property will. Property owner nominated his close relative as heir (waris) after his death. This owner not having any child and the nominee was taking care of the owner and his mentally sick wife. The property is under Renovation by private developer who is currently paying rent to the owner for relocation as its property demolished one year ago. The owner expired one month before and nominated person is taking care of his ill wife Now my query is since the owner died, will the rent payment will be transferred to the nominee.?
