Can I sell my fathers self acquired property without transferring

Religion Hindu. Father died last year.there are no siblings.my mother also died many years ago.can I sell his self acquired property.do I need to first register in my name.

Hi,
You must obtain a succession certificate from the Court and use the same to get the property transferred on your name, There will be subsequent changes in the revenue records as well with the help of the same documents. Kindly contact a civil lawyer.

Yes u can sell the property of your father but the property should be registered with your father's name only and if there are other brothers of yours then you have to share the property with your brothers.
