Dear Sir,

You need to understand what Power of Attorney means: the authority to act for another person in specified or all legal or financial matters.

Here you are only giving him the powers on your behalf and not selling the land to the person you will still remain the owner of the said property,

Hi, You need to specify what kind of property it is. If the property is ancestral, your wife cannot claim in your lifetime. If it is your parents property and her matrimonial home, she can only claim for the right to residence which can be simply replaced by providing alternate accomodation option. If it is your own property, POA wont help as the legal ownership still remains with you.

yes you can do power of attorney to any of your close blood relatives easily. but it would be more advisable to mortgage or sale the property if your wife is trying to implicate you in false case ask for rights in property
