Can I claim share in my grandfathers property

Hindu law my grand father died on2003leaving behind a property which my father recorded his name only by mutation.Being elder grandchild I am being deprived from this .What would be my step?

If the property is a self acquired property of your grandfather then you are not entitled to get share in the property after his death. The property will be transferred to class I legal heirs of your grandfather i.e. his wife and her children. You cannot claim share in his property.
