Can i claim damages caused to my house due to construction of a house

Hello team, there is this new house being constructed in plot that was empty, behind my house. Mine is an old house and has been made considering all the Nagar Nigam rules. Now the boundary of this new house is now maintaining any distance from our house because of which my building is getting damaged. Please advise if there is anything that can be done to stop them, as we tried to meet them several times but they keep avoiding any direct conversation.

Without delay you should file a stay on the construction of the said house and simultaneously get your house accessed by an architect and later get a local commissioner appointed through court and claim damages. You will surely get releif.
