Can govt take my land to construct the road ?

Could govt take my own land for road construction? But the other side of the road, the owner of the land has the wall. So they(contractors) will not take the land from other side because of wall.
Yes they can. Under the principle of eminent domain a govt can acquire land in greater publuc interest after compensating the party affected at fair value.
You may however challenge this acquisition under a writ petition.
