Can gifted land be taken back

My mother has gifted a land to her grandson. Now he is threatening my mother to sell the ancestral land if more land is not given to him. My mother is 75 years old. Can she take back the gifted land.
In case where the property is an ancestral property, the property cannot be transferred through a gift deed. The gift deed can be challenged. All the legal heirs have a right on ancestral property and it is divided according to the Hindu Succession Act.
