Can daughter ask share in father's assets after marriage

sir we got married (inter caste)4 yrs back I'm was a hindu now converted to Catholic and my wife is born Catholic my wife's dad is against us doesn't want to maintain any relationship so now we are in financial trouble and no help from them can we ask them for my wife share legally is it possible? Pls help sir
