Can aunt claim in property received by father through his father

01-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)

Basically the property is my grandfather's.. Through him my dad got it.. And my dad has 1 brother and 2 sisters.. My dad expired in the 1973.. My dad's sisters were married before 1965.. Should there be any share in the property to my dad's sisters?? And also I wanna know in which year if they're married, they have rights and share in the property??

Your query is not clear as to whether you grandfather's property was a self-acquired property or an ancestral property. If it was a self-acquired property and your grandfather passed away in 1973, then according to the recent judgement passed by the supreme court in 2005, your father's sister will not have any share in you grandfather's property. But if your grandfather's property was an ancestral property then your father's sister will have share in the property. Your father's sister share in the property has nothing to do with the year in which she got married.
