Can a Non agriculturer purchase agricultural land?

I have purchased piece of land(agricultural) with sales deed now want add my name on 7/12 but I don't have my name on any 7/12 earlier to this means I am not a farmer. My maternal and paternal uncles are farmer and they have 7/12 on there names even my father in law have 7/12 on there name. What should I need to do to get my name on 7/12.Please let me know.

You need to have 7/12 extract in your name to prove agriculture rust, some should be from your family should be agriculturist. You need to take certificate from concern Talathi/ Tahsildar regarding your family members were agriculturist and affidavit in support . Your name will be accordingly entered

Your paternal uncles are farmer and their names are recorded on 7/12 extract of the proprty. U have purchased a piece of agriculure land with sale deed. That sale deed is registered or not .if it is registeted what document u require. Your uncle are farmer whether their agriculture land came by inheritant .that mean your grandfather was farmer .if so then there is no problem.
