Can a govt. employee hold a post in Cooperative society?

Can any semi government or government employee hold prime post such as SECRETARY/CHAIRMAN, etc on co operative housing society, if yes, what are the terms & condition to be full-fill by him/her? can a govt. or semi govt. employee hold a position in cooperative society. and wht is the tenure for the same?
The rules and regulations of a co-operative society is governed by the rules and regulation of that society and conditions for holding such posts is also governed by the rules drafted by the general body of such co-operative society.
