Builder sending notice to pay VAT for the flat we bought

16-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello Lawyers: Our builder has been sending us notices to pay VAT after we have bought the flats. I bought my flat in 2009 in Pune. And yesterday, one of my neigbors received a legal notice from the Court. It seems the builder is not delivering the legal notice to everyone probably so that it becomes a no-show case and teh judgement goes in the builder's favor. I too had receive notices to pay VAT even when the decision has been pending before the SC. I have a few questions: 1. Are we supposed to pay the VAT because I believe this matter is still pending before SC? 2. And what should be the next step in response to the legal notice received. Please guide. Than kyou. God bless you.

Since the issue is pending before supreme court you need not have to pay VAT. Beside that you reply to legal notice through advocate. And also go to concern court to find out proceedings if any filed against you. Moreover appear in proceeding and contest it
