Bought a property which was in dispute what can I do

i bought a disputed property in east godavari , when i applied for mutation then i came to kn ow that case is pending with joint collector in respect of said property. what to do

You have the following options
a) Either the seller should return the money and both of you should cancel the sale deed OR
b) You should Implead yourself as a party to the proceedings before the Joint collector OR
c) File a criminal case against the Seller and recover the money.
