Ancestral property in mother name can I register in my name

I am Hindhu and 39 years old.I have 3 elder sisters and one elder brother.All sisters were married and my brother not married.My father was expired in 1994. My fathers ancestral property ,8 acres agriculture land was registered on my mothers name.My elder brother is not taking care my mom,he is not even coming to see my mom.I only taking care my mom. Is it possible to get register entire land on my name,please advice me.

Registering the land in your name is not an issue; the challenge will arise if your action is contested in the court of law by your siblings. Before you jump into any such act go back and understand, re check the papers and confirm who the current owner of the property is, is your property self-acquired by your mother or inherited etc…

If the property owner under no dispute is your mother and has complete rights on the title and there is no liability attached to it she may either make a will clearly stating you can own this after her death or she can make a gift deed and gift this property to you post which you can register it.

Since there is a possibility of family dispute that can arise (Ancestral property), better resolve all conflicts amicably before you take any such action coz that can down the line get into any kind of litigation.
