Agreed to sell land did not show interest sold to someone else

I have given in writing to one person to sale my plot(land,) at particular amount However he did not show further interest hence I sold the the same to other person reducing cost Now he has filed a suit agaimst me to sale the pllot to him Be claims that black money is involved in reducing sale amount.

If there was an agreement to sale then was there any expiry date mentioned in agreement to sale in case where the party fails to make payment in a certain period of time.
If there was no expiry date mentioned in the agreement then contract stands terminated after 3 years if party fails to make
