Acquired land not used for 31 years
01-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
I had purchased 2 bigha agriculture land in Faridabad in 2002. I was given possession by revenue department after chakbandi by way of demarcation process and I constructed boundary. Now I have come to know that my khasra was acquired by HUDA in 1985 for making of road. My plot is on the side of the road. I have physical possession of the plot. Can HUDA take over my property now?
Yes, it can since it had acquired it earlier. I would suggest that get your area registered in your name in order to avoid any further hassles with HUDA. As they may take over your property and then a legal battle will ensue which will take a long time to settle and you shall be abandoned in the mean while.
