Is 498a applicable to Muslims ?

I had married a girl in full muslim traditions i'm living wholeheartedly with her but she with a cruel mind with false intentions she along with her family want to file 498a and others cases on me regarding to violence, it will be helpful to me much with your answer,... My question is since Uniform civil code isnt in force a lawyer had stated that 498a or other regarding family matters doesnt apllicable to muslims .... isit ture that they doesnt applicable to muslims since mislims do have Muslim(Mohammadeian) law still in force in India
