In laws threatening to file 498A against me what to do protect myself

I am Muslim , my wife did not live continue with me from first. We have a male child of 3 yrs. I want divorce from her. We are both employee in 30 km distance from my house.She always insult my mother. She want money from me. Her family threat me to lodge 498 against me. Is she entitled to maintenance and child custody .May I get child custody , if possible , how ?
If you are Muslim then as per the Muslim Personal law after making efforts for reconcialation , you can pronunce triple talaq to your wife in presence of two witneess. Thereafter record the same on a plain document and send her the same by registered post
