Division of property according to Muslim law

28-Sep-2023 (In Muslim Law Law)
Issue: My grandfather has 6 daughter and 1 son . Out of 6 daughters 2 are dead and only son  is also dead. Now 4 daughter are alive which includes my mother. Now we have a property of around 14 acres of land in our village(Kudur) which is controlled by the childrens of Mr. Junaid (only son of my grandfather) and they are refusing to share with 4 daughters who are still alive. Questions: 1)We want to make sure who has the ownership currently grandfather() or his son ) 2) If its transferred to his son ). Was legal procedure followed ? 3) What is approximate cost to handle this case ?

as per Muslim Law, son will get 2 share and each daughter has to get one share , if son was dead then that share will transfer to their legal heirs , in your case
1. even those the ownership transfer to sons name still you can fight for your right.
2. you have to file a case in court send legal notice to them let him to answer your notice and then you can fight through your lawyer,
3. cost it depend on the lawyers
for your reference :- out of 6 daughters 2 are dead if they have their children then they also can get the share .in case if they dont have any legal heirs then all the property should be divided equally to rest of others
total 14 acres:- 3.5 acres go to the son
and each daughter will get(6 Dag):- 1.75 acre ( 66000 sqft land )
