Vehicle Sold, Paper not transfer, New owner met with an accident

29-Mar-2023 (In Motor Accident Law)
Hi, I have sold my vehicle (Honda Scooty) to a person in December 2015. I had given him my RC and form 29 signed for paper transfer. After that i forgot about it, One day he messaged me that he had lost form 29 so wanted me to send another signed form. I delayed it and again forgot about it, now again after 7-8 months , Police called me saying that my vehicle is met with an accident and i am the owner. I am not in Bangalore currently and i am travelling. The police guys want me in the station and says i am responsible. Please help me out ! I am ready to pay for consultation if any one can represent me in the station and help me out to resolve this. I can again courier form 29 signed. I dont even have my RC, the new guy has. Help me out to get out of this situation. Thanks

Yes nothing to be panic. Since you have signed form no 29 it is the duty of the buyer to submit it along with form no 30 to transfer the vehicle in to his name. You can contact me for further help. You will be absolved of liabilities if insurance is paid.
