Police says it was a accident but we doubt it was a murder what to do

Sir accident was done by unknown vehicle the police says that we got information about accident at 7 am & done a post mortem till 1 PM & they credited the body at 5 PM so my question is that why the body was kept for 2 or 3 days we come to know about accident after 36 hrs we questiond to police about the photo of body was not mentioned in news paper & how fast u cremitted the body they told that one leg was totally crashed & we given photo to a news paper but they not published & the body was getting smell so we cremitted but we have doubt it is not a accident it's murder what can we do
