Lady came running to my bike no fault and died what consequences

I was returning from office in my bike at a very low speed of 40kmh.. suddenly a woman crossing the road turned back in the middle of the road and ran towards my bike.she hit on my right handle side and i fell down with no injuries on me and very few scratches on my bike.unfortunately the lady passed away as she fell down on her back hitting back of her head on the road.im charged with 279,304A.
Was the driver arrested by Police? Was the vehicle impounded and mechanical inspection done? Was a site map prepared at the accident spot? These things beside other are necessary for prosecution of the driver and for a claim under Motor Vehicle Act. There are two separate cases in case of accident. One is criminal liability and one is civil liability under Motor Vehicle Act. Your cousin shall have to appear before the criminal court and give evidence. He may not support your case and turn hostile is another thing.
