Grand father passed away in 2013 due to Medical Negligence

My grand mother passed away in 2013, caused by medical negligence . I wrote two letters in 2014 to the hospital, asking for an explanation, however no response. Is it too late to take this forward ? If I can take this forward, what are the next steps ?
The limitation period to file the case before consumer court is 2 years. Therefore there may be delay of few months. However we can file condonation of delay application before court. Please contact us for details.

Dear sir, first of all we have to look complete medical record and yes there is a delay but there is a provision for filing the application for consolation of delay if there is a reasonable delay.

She passed away in 2013 how and on the basis of which document you say that her death was due to medical Negligence. You may say that particular document was found in 2014 and same was not known or misplaced at the time of her death.so there is no delay .
