Noida Authority CEO says Flat delivery action plan to be ready by Thursday

September 21, 2017

The Noida authority chief executive officer (CEO) Alok Tandon assured, that the plan on stipulated time period delivery of flats in Noida is ready and will be sent today, adding that the development body is compiling and arranging reports sent by builders.

Meanwhile, the Greater Noida authority forwarded its action plan on Tuesday evening, following which the Yamuna Expressway authority said it will send its report by Monday.

“ The authority is yet to finalize flat delivery action plan. Chairman will re-examine the report on Monday and then we will send it. There are 6,000 flats scheduled for delivery,” said Shailendra Bhatia officer of the YEIDA.

Tandon further said the authority is compiling and arranging the plans submitted by different builders.“ Few developers had given their flat delivery action plan on Tuesday and some gave the same on Wednesday. We are compiling and arranging the action plan of developers. We will send the report to the government by Thursday evening, The report will contain details of the developers responsible, number of flats that will be delivered and when,” Tandon added.

As per the information submitted by developers till Tuesday, Noida developers have promised delivery of 28,000 flats in the next two to three months, said officials.

Greater Noida authority CEO Debasish Panda assured complete cooperation to builders for fast delivery of flats, but put the burden on developers. “ We have an open house gathering to address issues of each developers seeking occupancy certificate we can help developers speedy delivery. But ultimately it is them who need to finish the projects. If they submit necessary documents soon and provide the basic facilities in towers, flats can be delivered even before the scheduled deadline,” he said.

The report submitted by the Greater Noida authority, mentioned a total number of 21,563 flats in 29 housing projects will be delivered by the end of March, 2018. The Greater Noida authority further assured that the delivery of 7,460 flats by October end, 5,334 flat by end of December and 8,769 flat by end of March next year. The action plan also states that delivery of flats is subject to developer's compliance with the dates.

On September 12, CM Yogi Adityanath government in a gathering held in Lucknow directed top officials of the Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway to ensure deliver 50,000 flats in the next two months.

Yogi government action plan came in response to the affected demand by homebuyers who have been waiting to get possession of their homes for the past three to seven years. Most of the homebuyers have even paid the flat cost in full but the builders have defaulted in delivering their housing projects, stating fund crunch as a reason of slowdown in the realty market.

Thereafter, officials expressed suspicion over builders sticking to the deadlines. They said delivery of possession of 50,000 flats within two months is impossible as builders have not developed common facilities such as water supply connections, roads, elevators, community centres, etc.

“ Flats can't be delivered until the builders get monetary funds to finish services. Those developers, who made assurance, have nothing to do with the incomplete realty projects,” said a Noida authority official.

However, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), a builder's' association, promised the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath that they will make sure that the delivery of 50,000 flats in complete within two months
