What is starting time of adverse possession and evidence to prove it

09-Sep-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Our joint family used to live in tenanted room in Mumbai since 1980. Rent Receipts are in my Uncle's (Father's Elder brother) name. After Partition of joint family (oral) my uncle with his family moved to new flat, while we continue to stay in this room as it was given to us. In 2007 landlord sold land to builder. In 2008 my father died. In 2010 redevelopment started, Builder made registration, agreement, stamp duty in my mother's name. Rent cheques issued in mother's name by builder during construction time. 2016 - Construction is completed. Now my uncle wants this flat & he is fighting with society & my mother. He send notice too. What we should do in this situation. Ration Card was in my fathers & mothers name. Electricity bills from 2000 to 2010 in my fathers name. MTNL bills from year 2000 to 2003 in father's name. My father's & Mother's Voter Id (1995) on same add. We paid all rents from 1995 to 2010. Starting time of adverse possession? Evidence require to prove it?

After going through the query, you are advised to reply to the legal notice sent by your uncle to you strongly through an advocate telling him that he has no right over the property. Secondly the documents would come in use once your uncle files a case in the court of law then these documents would be used as evidence and make your case strong.
