What are the rights of a tenant if eviction notice has been served
09-Jul-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Can you clarify on the following. i) Can a landlord evict a tenant if he pays rent regularly. ii) Do we have a notification that can be shared on SC judgement with landowner i.e available online. Does it lead to contempt of the court by owner if refused? iii) Do we have any judgement where the tenant seeking the court to direct the owner not to vacate the tenant in mid of an academic year reason being tenant's children might endup changing their schooling.
Your landlord/tenant relationship is governed by your rent agreement. Either party can end the rent agreement as per the condition or clause mentioned in the agreement. If you are paying the rent regularly on time then if there is a genuine reason of the landlord or he wants the house for his personal use, the landlord can evict the tenant.
