We are 27 year old tenant landlord is increasing rent every year

09-Apr-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

We are living in the place for more than 27 years and suddenly now the landlord has started increasing the rent in 2 years time despite the promised (verbal) 5 years. How can we pay the rent through court and what are the laws pertaining to the problem. The only bill we have in our name is a 14 years old landline bill. We don't have electricity or water bill too our name.

It is difficult to prove the terms and condition of the rental agreement in case of a verbal agreement. You cannot file a case against your landlord unless you have a written rent agreement.
