want to break lease agreement because of landlord arrogance

i m living on lease, i have 11 month agreement. but i want to break agreement because of trouble by landlord and his arrogance. i m living here from 5 month. landlord asking me full remaining 6 month payment. so sir what i do please help me.
Is there a rent agreement between you and your landlord. In the agreement generally it is mentioned that you may give a notice period before leaving the property. The landlord cannot ask for the rent for which you have not stayed.
