Terms of ownership on 100% contribution as old tenant

03-Mar-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

Status of ownership My husband is a tenant in Khar Danda Village since 1986. In the year 2000 the Landlord demanded construction cost as he was poor, which we paid. Since our possession we have stopped rent as the landlord and builder defaulted not giving alternate stay and delayed construction by 2 years due to their internal family despite. I had to seek legal help for completing and occupying my premises. Can my Husband claim as the owner and no more as tenant as we are having two married daughters.

You cannot claim for the said property as the owner as the property is still in the name of your landlord. You can file a civil suit for recovery of damages and inconvenience caused to you due to delayed possession.
