Landlord has filed eviction case what can i do

02-Nov-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I am being harassed by my landlord for the last 2 years as police also help him. That is why I decided to file a case last December but that also did not helped me in any way. I have not paid the rent since the time I filled a case. My tenancy agreement is now finished in June. Now my landlord has filled a eviction case stating he need the area for his own use. How can I stop him.

If you have a lease and you receive a notice to quit for non-payment of rent, you can "cure" the non-payment and prevent the eviction by paying your landlord all the past and present rent owed.
If you cure the non-payment after you receive a summons and complaint, you must pay all the rent owed, interest on the amount owed, and your landlord's costs of filing an eviction case, on or before the answer date.
