Landlord asking us to whitewash the house before leaving what to do

My house owner is assigning more rent. We are currently going to shift our house. Now he is raising the issue that before leaving house we have to white wash the house. If not he will not reduce the money from the advance. Can you please give me any advice regarding this.

Does your agreement with your landlord has a clause which states that the landlord shall deduct the amount for painting at the time of vacating the premises. If there is no such clause then he is not entitled to cut this amount.
