Is tenancy agreement necessary
06-Jun-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I am staying in a house as tenant under verbal arrangement between house owner and me. No formal tenancy agreement has been executed . Am I safe ?
Tenancy agreement is not necessary as because you are a tenant. But after depositing rent alongwith any other bills(electric , maintainance charges) if any take the proper rent receipts (in the receipt please check your name , months , amount and details of your tenanted property). It's a proof that you are a bonafied tenant.
Thank you
Thank you
No. you are not 100% safe. But if you get the house for short time. Then there is no need of Tenancy Agreement. Otherwise, if you stay for long time, then you should make a Tenancy Agreement with the Land lord for your safety.
