Is it necessary to sign the letter of consent for builders

08-Dec-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Do I need to sign the letter of consent stating that builder has write to modify / the buildup area as used Performa by all builders. Kindly advise that the builder will have to do reducing the area or allow to additional floor area.

1. It is not clear from your query as to whether you are already inducted into possession of the individual flats and what sort of consent letters the builder wants from you. He may be asking for consent for causing additional construction. in that case, your not signing the same is justified.
2. The builder has to issue you possession letters bearing the date on which you were inducted into actual possession. If he is not issuing you correct possession letters and harassing you for consent letters, you may file a consumer complaint against him.
