How can i vacate my house from the Tenant?

my tenant is not vacating the house despite the contract/ Agreement is over. we filed police complaint also. he asked for time and now he is not vacating rather saying to take any action you can take i will not vacate the house. what legal action can we take?
Dear Sir,
In legal terms he is a tress passer
You'd have to file a suit for eviction on the grounds of bona fide requirment. You are required to provide the details as to which state you belong as the rent acts differ from state to state.
If the tenancy falls outside the rent control legislation then serve him a notice u/s 106 TPA for eviction within 15 days, and then file a suit for eviction.
