Got rent agreement only for 1 year. Now no agreement. What to do?

07-Nov-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

There is no rent agreement. I have been staying in the property for 4 years. There was a agreement only for the first year. Thereafter no rent agreement or rent receipt has been provided for the same. What is my legal stand now? What is best possible thing to do now?

Even if there is no rent agreemen then you cannot be a owner of the said property and would remain tenant.

The landlord has right to file suit for eviction.
