Can landlord ask to increase rate if market rate increases?
One would need to look into the exact terms of the agreement. If there is a clause that already provide for increase in the rental amount then your landlord may be in breach for asking you to vacate.
Though in most instances, either side can easily terminate the lease by giving the requisite notice. It would therefore be essential to study the exact terms of the lease.
