Can I claim for double token money given to landlord for property

I had give a token money on 7 SEP 2017 to landlord for a property on rent w e f 01 Oct. Now landlord refuse to give property on rent to me and he wants to give token money back . I gave token money through account and he confirm it via mail. Now Can i claim for double token money because I want to these property on rent but landlord not give the property on rent to me

It is a breach of contract and whatever proof you do have are enough proof of it. If would better you approach a lawyer and file a case against him for compensation. By this way you cover the loss occurred to you.
