Wish to leave company in middle of notice period can company stop me

16-Mar-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I signed a contract with my company. The notice period is for 60 days. I have another offer from other company. but they want me to join after 40 days. So can my present company stop me from 20 more days even if i am wiling to pay for the 20 days notice period?

No, as long as you are willing to forego the pay for 20 days they cannot stop you. Confidentiality, non compete and other similar clauses might however continue to apply, subject to specific terms of contract.

no they cannot .. please leave.. there are certain steps you should take legally before leaving but they have no right on you...
you are free to buy out your period as well,,, but remember the relationship that you share with your organisation will of course be impacted with such an exit

Hi
Kindly refer your contract, what happens if 60 days notice is not given as per the contract. If it is agreed that pay of 60 days can be replaced by days or so, you can do that. If nothing is mentioned take an advice by giving complete details to us. Regards
