Will be eligible to get gratuity from employer

I was working in Proprietary firm which have another four sister concern (family member Proprietary & partnership firm) (worked from 1974 - 75 to 2007-2008). Due to my third heart attack (second angioplasty done), I required bed rest for three month at that time (31st august 2008 My Last working day) & our firm accounts to be audited on or before 30th sept - 2008. So employer appointed new accountant. I understood that he was not interested to me continue in their firm. I have work experience certificates from 74 -75 to 2007- 2008 also have F - 16 for latest salary , shall I get benefit for Gratuity from employer pls. guide us

Gratuity Act, Amendment, Acts, Eligibility, Abstract, benefits. Gratuity Act is a statutory benefit paid to the employees who have rendered continuous service for at least five years. It is a lump sum amount paid to an employee based on the duration of his total service.
