Which salary should be mentioned if last drawn and basic is different?

For gratuity we have to take last salary drawn but company give settlement allawance less than basic salary ..now which amount should i take for gratuity....provision everywhere define last salary drawn(basic+D.A)
In the given situation, you will have to send a legal notice to the employer to claim your gratuity as per prescribed law, you can claim the basic salary + D.A. if your employer denies then you can file a recovery suit in the jurisdictional civil court.
