Whether private company employees covered under labour laws of India

Are private company employees covered under labour laws of India and upto what extent. Can a private organisation terminate the services of any employee including the ones covered under minimum wages act without ruffling the feathers of law and if yes than kindly provide a relevant case.
Any industry which is into business, trade, undertaking, manufacture or calling of employers and includes any cslling , service, employment, handicraft or industrial occupation or avocation of workmen will be governed by the provisions of Industrial Disputes Act which includes private companies as well and no employee can be terminated arbitrarily. He must be given due time to explain his case before termination.
