Whether fitting hidden camera at workplace legal?

Sir, Is it legal to install hidden cameras in workplace to monitor employees. Can I get legal help if I found hidden cameras at my office ?
The answer depends upon the grounds, if any, for your objection. Unless there are valid grounds, such as intrusion into your privacy, and evidence in support legal action may not succeed. Please note that the employer may advance many a reason based on security, protecting his business interest etc.
