Stayed in USA for 5 years how to get police verification for govt job

I have a question. I was in USA for last year and then came to India in 2015. In the form they are asking for the last 5 years places where I stay. In these all place they will do police verification. I want to know how in this case they will do police verification. Does it will create any issue in confirmation after probation. Also, its whose responsibility for the verification (bank or employee). Please provide detail explanation if you know the process.
