Signed service bond with the company. Now to resign co. asking money.

Hi, I have resined from my company. At the time of hiring I had to sign an indemnity bond with the company. The value of bond is 2 lakhs.I have served for 1.5 year.Currently I am serving the notice period. My company is noe asking me to pay the bond amount. They have also advised me to extend the bond period by one year to get hike of one lakh. What should I do? My prospective employeer is ready to pay the amount.But my current employer is asking me to pay 200000 rs. They are also not reafy to give a copy of bond to me.please advise.

They are exploiting you and violating the natural justice you can also ask them for a copy of your bond and if they do not provide you that straight away go for a legal notice to them. Make them a request from you official mail.

NO - such bond is valid in law. Has this been registered. DO you come in bonded labour category. The only issue you would face is the experience and relieving letter. Speak with you new employer and tell them the that you are been forced to sign such a bond and to pay such amount . Would suggest you to show copy of the bond to a lawyer, and if you dont have one as the company is not giving - that itself is of no value.
