18-Oct-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hi, This I regarding my onsite deployment(UK) bond. I have signed a bond with company(500 rupees bond paper) that I would be serving them for at least 6 months in India after my onsite deputation is completed. However, I want to resign now and move to other company in Germany. Could you please let me know if the bond would be valid and If yes want do I need to do to resign and not serve the notice of 6 months. Many Thanks

Technically, when you are on deputation, the notice period prevalent in that country applies (Even though your HR will insist that its not applicable to people who are sent on deputation). Typically onsite notice periods are shorter (2 weeks in USA) and it makes no sense not to serve that notice period.
