Salary not paid after quitting company

I joined as a faculty in one animation institute in Bangalore in Jan 2017. I was not given offer letter. However at the time of joining, I was told that I will get a fixed salary. Much to my disappointment, institute started giving salary late. I decided to quit institute in March 2017 -end. When I asked for my salary dues, owner of institute is saying you have quit institute and due to this i will not salary. I have my attendance recorded in institute registers. Basically the procedure for recovery of your full and final settlement is that,
Initially you should send a legal notice to the company through and advocate asking for your full and final settlement be done.
Thereafter, if the company doesn’t respond to the same then you can file a suit for the recovery of your dues in the concerned civil court.
