Offered job in company now they are not taking it forward what to do

I have received an offer of joining from a company. Now they are saying that they cannot take this forward as in cannot hire me. What legal options do i have?
It depends on whether you had received the Offer Letter / Appointment Letter or not. However you can claim compensation for the losses or damage incurred by you due to the said offer. By sending them a legal notice.
