Not serving the notice period can company take any legal action

If I am not serving notice period of my company and I am not willing to pay them like they are demanding 3 months of basic salary in lieu thereof. So company have any right to do any legal action against me or what kind of legal action they can take against me
The company could sue you in court and make you pay heavily later. Additionally the company could pose an obstacle in your future employment with other companies. This is hypothetical and very basic. Please consult with full documentation for advice.
